You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a Microsoft Agent or Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an official Maxxtor global customer service number.

Here is the link for the TechNet forum: Unfortunately, Seagate rouch Maxtor and they don’t seem to be providing very good support for this device. I have tried installing the driver that came with the device but this was unsuccessful.
This should get your firewire up and running under Windows 7.

The drive works perfectly under Window XP, but is not recognized at all by Windows 7 64 bit. Everything works well under Win XP, so I’m sure the problem is not the drive itself. Tell us about your experience with our site.
