I have attached a screen shot as you con wd ext hdd 1021 when I list volume the disk isn’t there when i list disks you can see the disk.
So I bought a used 2 TB Hard drive and it supposedly was only used a couple of times and I got a good deal.
It shows as Disk 1 unknown Either way takes a fair while to do and you need to make sure the drive is formatted afterwards. I went to diskpart entered list volume but it doesn’t show any volume for the drive that I can’t access.

I do not know whether it will work or not.: What should I do? You didn’t say what happens when you go through diskpart, list volume, select volume n blah blah.
